How to measure your Dogue de Bordeaux for good fit Collar:
READ THIS BEFORE MEASURING YOUR DOGUE DE BORDEAUX!
- The collar will fit neck size on the central hole (the 3d one).
- The total number of holes will be 5 with 1 inch (25 mm) distance between each two of them.
- It means, for example, that if your dog’s neck size is 20 inches (50 cm), you will adjust the collar to it using central (3d) hole.
- You will have 2 smaller size holes to adjust the collar for 18 inch (45 cm) and 19 inch (47.5 cm) neck size.
- You will also have 2 bigger size holes to adjust the collar for 21 inch (52.5 cm) and 22 inch (55 cm) neck size.
- The tip of the collar (measuring after the last hole) will be 4 inch (10 cm) long.
- As those are handcrafted collars, some sizes may differ a little (not in a significant way).
- 2 ply leather collars and padded leather collars are 2 inch bigger flat on the table to make sure that it will fit your dog.
The collar is made of 2 ply genuine full grain leather. It is very strong - your powerful Dogue de Bordeaux will be under your reliable control. Genuine leather is also pleasant to have on as it allows some air to penetrate through the leather.
All the edges are finely treated and smooth not to damage your dog’s fur. Special fur protecting plate will help to save your pet’s fur from damaging by the buckle.

The collar is not very wide. Narrower collars are used to achieve faster reaction of the k9. Thicker ones are recommended for hyperactive dogs, dogs that like to pull as they distribute pressure through larger surface of a dog’s neck and thus there is less risk for trachea damaging.
